Mrs. Isaac Smith, of Staples, daughterof Mr. and Mrs. I. A. Barnum, who was here to attend the funeral
of her brother, Allen Barnum, on Saturday the 27th ult., left for herhome last Saturday.

Rose M. (Barnum) Smith died in Doctor's Memorial Hospital,Minneapolis, Minnesota, at the age of 86 years,
11 months and 5 days.The cause of death was given as an "incarcerated right femoral herniawith perforation
and gangrene."
